Marketing Strategy #117- Networking

The best Networking strategy I know of to this day is for you to enter into events where your customers are already doing business.  The wedding industry is a great place to see this in action.  Let say that you enter a Wedding Expo. Who is involved?


Bridal Shops
Cake decorators
Photographers
DJ's
Jewelers
Caterers
Wedding planners
Floral Shops.

The key  is not to be selling these people at an event.  Same is true of a direct sales event.  The point of the event should be to introduce what you have to offer.  Not to make a sale.  I know of a Lia Sophia adviser who followed this tip to a tea and got 72 leads and 50 had a party.

I have also suggested that this is a great way to make extra money.  If you have an established clientele then enter into advertising arrangements with the above people.  They will be more than happy to because the people that you are doing business with already are the exact people these others are looking for.
