I think we have all been there who have had kids.  That is what really brings out the future business owner in all of us.  The problem is most people do not act on their creative juices.  Not so for Sharon Mullen the owner of a site called inventiveparents.com The site is filled with products that parents have came up with instead of the huge commercial industry most of us see.

1. Sharon was the inventor of a product I know I used with my two boys the Car seat cozy.  You know those things you slip over the car seat that have the flapper where the baby's head can peak out.  People put them on in the winter to keep their babies warm.
2. Preggie Pops are pop cycle's that a mom produced to combat morning sickness
3. The Wee block was made by a dad who was tired of getting a shot from his little dude every time he pulled off his diaper.

The website has seen a nearly 70% growth since its inception in 1998. The best for most stay at home mom's her business is still ran out of her home.


The best part is she started it from nothing.

She believes that no bank or venture capitalist would have ever bet on her because all the products on her site are invented by unproven inventors.  Guess what? She still turned it into a multi million dollar business.  What do you have inside you?
