Should Ebay be held Responsible?

 You may be asking why I care so strongly about this is because I know alot of people who tried to run a responsible Ebay business and was terminated for violating Ebay policies.  Then when I see the mismanagement by the site it just needs to seen by the public.

Picture this, you are pregnant and having terrible stomach pains.  You are rushed to the hospital and immediately taken back on a stretcher two a room where they poke you and run every test in the book.  Hours pass as you cry yourself nearly to sleep in worry.  Then the horrible thoughts turn to reality.  You find out that you lost your baby.  Your tears turn to anger as you start to ask how this could be.  When all the tests come back the doctor tells you that the reason that you lost your baby is because you bought a knock off product from Ebay.  Why is it that ebay does not allow someone to sell a knock off dvd but allows almost 7,000 pieces of Lia Sophia knock offs to be sold a day.  

Real Lia Sophia jewelry is made of Cadmium and is only sold by Lia Sophia Advisors.  It is also against the rules of Lia Sophia to sell Lia Sophia on Ebay. If the company finds out that you are selling online they will terminate ties with you as a business person.

Do you know how a knock off process works?  Some Chinese people joke about the fact that we have copyright laws while in China they have rights to copy. They may joke about it, but it is really the truth.  American company can outsource its product offering to China like Coach hand bags do and then what happens is anyone in that country.  Any worker who works for that warehouse can take that design and take it to another warehouse in China and have it made in any material they want.  Have you ever been to a purse party?  If you have been to a number of them you would know that you get what you pay for.  A ten dollar bag is a ten dollar bag.  Same is true with Jewelry.  They say ok I have this design for jewelry now what material can I use that is the cheapest so I can sell it for the cheapest amount possible.  In jewelry this could be lead and plated with something else.  Do you want to risk it?  I wouldnt.

Here is another situation what if you are holding your baby and he grabs your knock off necklace. What does a baby do when they grab something? The first thing they do is put it in their mouth. So the above scenario may not be you in the emergency room but your baby fighting for their life.  Please do not put your self into this situation.  

Only buy your products from reputable business people. Not someone try to earn an extra buck at your expense.

Snap Fitness--Sparta- Your Marketing Sucks!

Today I went to the gym.  I go to Snap Fitness.  For any of you who dont know Snap is a franchise company that sells gyms that are open 24/7 but in my experience have no one at all running them.

Empty gym = poor marketing

So as I drive up to the gym I see this chalk board like thing that says "Try us for Free." Went on the website and it to says I can try them for free if I print out the 1 week coupon for free. What I thought as I was running on the treadmill was this.  How many people are really getting that message.  Sparta is a town of almost 9,000 people but how many of those 9000 drive by Snap? Then an even better question may be out of the people who drive by how many would even consider joining a club.  The gym is empty!

Loose belts cause injury. Does the owner care?

When it comes down to it there marketing sucks. Everything about it stinks. There is a referral program inside and it says they will give a $35 gift card or a free month membership if I refer someone.  What if I havent been in there in a month? How would I even know? If I had not been in there for a month why had I not received something in the mail making sure that everything was still ok.  Who knows I could walk in there today and cancel my membership. Dont know Dont care kind of attitude.  The gym must be maintained that way to I had to get on three treadmills before I found one I was comfortable on. The first one was very loud the second one the belt slipped and the third was just right.  The sad part is those treadmills had the same problem last time I went. Over a month ago.

What is the benefit of your trainers?

There is a white dry erase board that says who the managers are. They also have posted who the trainers are. The sad thing is sure they have the benefit of having the trainer but why do I need them? What can they do for me? When are the managers in?

I started going to Snap when it first opened in Sparta. Then I quit.  Then I came back about a year later.  I started thinking about this today too.  When I quit I never got anything wondering why I quit or even asking me if I would ever come back.  So I wondered. Is the owner in Sparta really sitting on a gold mine right now and not even know it. What are you doing with your lists?

Is this how it is at all snap fitness'? I hope not or they wont be around very long.
